Sharon Reis

The Healthy US Collaborative
Sharon was recently named Executive Director of The Healthy US Collaborative. In this role, she is managing the development of a national initiative on health and well-being. She has more than 25 years of experience leading teams to create change in healthcare with nonprofits, foundations, associations, medical societies, government, universities and health systems.
Sharon worked with Ann Lovell and Christy Mack on The Bravewell Collaborative helping to promote the landmark conference with the Institute of Medicine as well as several seminal reports showing benefits of an integrative approach to care. In 2016, she founded The Reis Group, recently named one of the best new public relations agencies, following 18 successful years as co-founding and leading a 30-person communications firm in Washington, D.C.
She leads the positioning of social science research as an advisor to the Public Engagement and Policy Program at the University of Massachusetts. Sharon also is a communications and marketing faculty member of Duke University’s Leadership Program in Integrative Healthcare.
Prior to founding The Reis Group and GYMR, she worked at Fleishman Hillard, Hasbro, and WWLP, the NBC Affiliate in Springfield, MA. She earned her MA from the University of Hartford and a BA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
